Isaac Ling

Isaac was born in Blaxhall in 1896 to James & Emma, and enlisted at Bury St Edmunds. Serving as a private with the 1st Company, 5th Battalion of the Royal Sussex Regiment Isaac was killed n action at the Battle of Langemarck, in Belgium, on the 16th of August 1917.

Issac, like so many others, has no known grave, but his name can be found on The Tyne Cot Memorial, some 10 miles south east of Langemarck village itself.
